SSAB is a global steel company specializing in the development and production of high-strength steels and related services. SSAB is organized into three main divisions:
- SSAB Special Steels: This division has global responsibility for sales of SSAB’s quenched and tempered (Q&T) steels and advanced high-strength steels (AHSS), as well as steel and plate production in Oxelösund, Sweden, and Mobile, USA.
- SSAB Europe: Responsible for sales of strip, heavy plate, and tubular products in Europe, the global automotive customer segment (AHSS), and steel and plate production in Raahe and Hämeenlinna, Finland, and in Luleå and Borlänge, Sweden.
- SSAB Americas: Handles sales of heavy plate in North America and steel and plate production in Montpelier, USA.
Additionally, SSAB owns two subsidiaries:
- Tibnor: The Group’s distributor of a full range of steel and non-ferrous metals in the Nordics and Baltics.
- Ruukki Construction: Produces and sells energy-efficient building solutions, focusing on northern and eastern Europe.
SSAB has a strong global presence, with approximately 14,500 employees in over 50 countries. The company’s production facilities are located in Sweden, Finland, and the United States.
SSAB’s product portfolio includes well-known brands such as Hardox®, Strenx®, Docol®, GreenCoat®, Toolox®, and Armox®. These products are used in various industries, including automotive, construction, energy, and heavy transport, to create lighter, stronger, and more durable end products.
