Law No. 7578 brings important updates to HR and payroll regulations, effective May 1, 2026.

• Total maternity leave is increased to 24 weeks.
• Paternity leave is doubled to 10 days.
• Foster families now have a 10-day leave entitlement.
• Stricter background check and documentation rules now apply to child-centric workplaces.
