Join us for an exclusive cultural journey through Istanbul, exploring the centuries-old connections and encounters between Sweden and Istanbul through history, culture, and remarkable stories.
Starting from Narmanlı Han, opposite the Swedish Palace, the guided tour will trace Sweden’s historical connections with Istanbul, featuring stories of Scandinavian Varangian warriors, renowned Swedish poet Gunnar Ekelöf, and many other fascinating encounters. The journey will conclude with a visit to the “Sweden & Istanbul” exhibition at Metrohan.
The tour will include stops at some of Istanbul’s most historic and iconic locations, offering SCC members a unique opportunity to discover the city through a Swedish cultural and historical perspective.
